This week, the St. Kitts Water Services Department (WSD) will conduct trials to assess the feasibility of extending the hours of access to water service beyond the times listed in the current water service schedule.
Communities Involved in the Trials
The trials will impact the following areas:
- Shadwell West
- Shadwell East
- Shadwell
- Pine Gardens
- Buckleys (Housing, Park, and Extension)
- Wades Garden
- College Housing
- Taylors
Extended Hours of Service
In addition to the regular water service schedule from 4 a.m. to 9 a.m., the WSD will be experimenting with providing access to water from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. beginning on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.
Daily Updates
The WSD will give daily updates on the continuation of the trials, including any potential adjustments to the areas involved and the times at which residents may expect water service.
Feedback
The trial will provide valuable insights into the feasibility of extending service hours. Accordingly, the WSD asks the public to provide feedback concerning the trial’s effectiveness.
